Commercial Director – Sponsorship (Conference Background) Remote – UK Base + OTE £120,000+ Key responsibilities: Sales strategy and operations: To review and implement a structured sales strategy and approaches that support sales performance.
Sales management: To personally deliver on sales KPIs related to sales activity, sales revenue, and account management.
Product conception and delivery: To represent our clients in internal discussions, strengthening the commercial performance of our products.
Direct sales: To personally lead out sales campaigns.
Client management: To manage or oversee the management of key accounts in the business and ensure that client objectives are documented and managed against.
To also oversee the process for managing client rebook meetings.
Commercial analysis: To analyse vendor marketplaces, categorise companies and research new sales leads.
Sales marketing: To work with our production, content and marketing team to design and implement a new sales marketing strategy, leveraging business intelligence generated across the team.
Candidate Profile: Length and focus of experience: 5+ years succeeding in a commercial role at a B2B events/media business.
Experience of high value B2B solution sales is a must.
High performance: A demonstrable track record of hitting commercial targets throughout your career.
You have ideally been perceived as a high performer in every role in your career so far.
Product mix: You have sold on: Live, face-to-face events, and ideally digital products such as webinars or reports.
Large B2B events, selling both sponsorship and exhibition booths.
Sales knowledge and experience.
An understanding of selling styles and techniques, and how they can be utilised in different circumstances.
Experience in training and developing sales professionals is a plus.
Strategy: Experience of building and delivering against sales plans and critical paths.
You should also be able to demonstrate how you have contributed to business/product strategy in previous roles.
