We've grown between 30% and 50% a year every year since launch in 2020. We have a strong reputation, brand awareness and true product-market-fit. Now, we're looking for a Commercial Director to lead the next stage of our revenue growth, setting the strategy, getting contracts signed and building lasting client partnerships.
The Role: Commercial Director As the Commercial Director, you'll be responsible for driving substantial revenue growth by developing and executing a results-driven sales strategy. You will set the commercial vision and play a key role in maintaining and building relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. We need to grow fast, but carefully - protecting our margins, our culture, our reputation and our talent.
You'll work directly with the Founder, who is hands-on in the sales process, and the Head of Marketing who manages the delivery team, ensuring our whole organisation is aligned with the growth strategy. Key to your success in this role will be your ability to lead a sales function, starting with a Sales Manager and setting the team up to drive growth within their roles.
You will need to be passionate about the brands we work with, obsessed with the startup marketing landscape, and be excited about working in a fast-paced, dynamic service environment.
Key Responsibilities: Achieve 50% revenue growth YOY, hitting £3 million revenue target by end of 2026.Build and execute a clear, results-driven sales strategy that aligns with our growth goals.Foster strong, long-term client partnerships, ensuring that Brand Hackers remains a trusted partner.Lead and scale the sales team (initially with one direct report), ensuring processes are in place to support growth.Identify commercial partnership opportunities that enhance our service offering and deliver measurable impact.Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure that all clients onboard successfully and are set up for long-term success.Protect margin while scaling our services.Play a very active role in the leadership team of both Brand Hackers and Up Collective.About you This could be a great role for you, if you have:
Proven experience in a senior sales or commercial role within a service-driven business or agency.A strong track record of developing and implementing sales strategies that drive growth.Leadership experience, with the capability to build and manage a sales team.You'll be able to speak startup marketing very fluently and if not on day 1, you'll have a real thirst to learn.A strong reputation in the industry or the desire to build one. Commitment to building your personal brand is essential for this role.Experience working directly with a Founder.Exceptional relationship-building skills, fostering long-term partnerships.A strategic mindset, identifying growth opportunities through improved services, operational efficiency, or new business acquisition.Passion for working with and growing startup brands, understanding the challenges they face.Results-oriented, with a hunger for commercial growth and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.A mature approach to leadership, with attention to detail and a focus on building sustainable growth.This is a full time role, starting asap. (We would consider 4x days per week.)
Our team are roaming and that means they are all over the country, but you'll need to be based in or near London and able to be in for meetings a few days a week.
