A global, $bn+ consultancy delivering expertise across a broad spectrum of Public/Gov and B2B Private sector strategic advisory, policy, technology, research and wider programme management services seek a Commercial Contracts Manager to join their in-house CCM function and lead client-side commercial & legal contracts advice, drafting, negotiation and deal execution for their UK & EU projects.
Salary - up to £75000 pro-rata (DOE) + benefits Type - 8-month Fixed Term Contract (maternity cover) Location - UK remote WFH with occasional London office (zone 1) visits Start date - 6/1/25 The Commercial Contracts Manager will take up post within the established in-house Contracts & Risk division of a truly global consulting & advisory business.
Working alongside UK and international CCM team counterparts, this position will advise on UK & EU client-side contracts review, drafting, negotiation and execution for their Gov/Public sector client projects.
As a legal contracts specialist, the Commercial Contracts Manager will provide advice and expertise from ITT/RFP to final contract signature/post-award for new client projects ensuring all commercial risks are understood, mitigated, negotiated and drafted to mutual agreement.
This business's research, consultancy and programme management service offerings are very diverse, this Commercial Contracts Manager role will be assigned to support the Energy consulting divisions who bid and engage primarily on UK and EU Gov programmes including energy, climate and green energy related scientific & commercial research, evaluation, consultative advice and programme rollout.
The business seek a commercial success/enablement-minded professional with dual B2B and public/Gov legal contracts review, negotiation and drafting expertise who is able to mitigate risk, ensuring compliance/governance, while maximising commercial 'deal' opportunity.
* This position is offered on an 8 month FTC (employed) basis .
The stated guide salary bands are the annualised full-time equivalent, with the remuneration for this role being paid on a pro-rata basis for the 8 month FTC period.
Experience & expertise required for Commercial Contracts Manager 8m FTC application : Likely Law / Business degree and/or IACCM Proven delivery in a B2B Commercial Manager / Legal Contracts Manager capacity within Consulting/Professional/Technical/Research/Scientific or Technology services sectors (c.5-10+ years experience min) Specific experience in Public/Gov (UK and/or EU) contracting processes would be an advantage Experience in Grant/Funding/Sponsor contracting process including bid/application could be an advantage Agility to lead full review, negotiation and drafting of standard framework and more bespoke/complex B2B service contract forms In-depth understanding of IP, Data/GDPR, liability, software, licensing, multi-party agreements from both a legal contracting and commercial perspective all wider contract-related agreements: NDA's, MOU's, MTA etc.
