What's this role about?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial and Tender Analyst to join our team.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of the energy sector, along with experience in contract and tender management.
A degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
What will I be doing?
Key Responsibilities: Tender Preparation : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and prepare comprehensive tender documents that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Market Analysis : Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to inform tender submissions and enhance competitiveness on existing contracts.
Cost Estimation : Develop accurate cost estimates for projects by analysing project requirements, resource availability, and market conditions.
Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks associated with tender submissions and propose mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
Compliance and Quality Assurance : Ensure that all tender submissions comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and company policies, maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
Stakeholder Communication : Liaise with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and finance teams, to gather insights and ensure alignment on tender strategies.
Post-Tender Analysis: After tender submissions, analyze feedback and outcomes to improve future tender processes and strategies.
Identify where tender findings could be successfully applied to the Live Portfolio.
Documentation Management: Maintain organised records of all tender documents, correspondence, and related materials for future reference and compliance audits.
Contract Management: Work with the commercial leads to maximise the value of contracts for the Live Portfolio and GridBeyond.
This will involve supporting to ensure that all services within the contracts are delivered as well as identifying commercial gaps and opportunities.
What do I need to be a good technical fit for this role?
Qualifications: Educational Background: A degree in a relevant field such as business, finance, engineering, or a related discipline.
Analytical Skills : Strong analytical abilities to assess tender documents, evaluate bids, and understand complex data.
Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with tendering processes and tools, as well as proficiency in software applications commonly used in the industry, such as Microsoft Excel, project management software, and possibly specific tender management systems.
Attention to Detail : A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in bid submissions and compliance with tender requirements.
Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the specific industry you are working in, including market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
Problem-Solving Skills : Capability to identify issues and develop effective solutions during the tendering process.
Team Collaboration: Experience working in a team environment, as tender analysis often involves collaboration with various departments.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or in procurement, contract management, or project management can be beneficial.
