MacGregor Black are partnering with a Global Consumer Goods business on the search for a Commercial Accountant to join the team in this newly created position.
This is a permanent/hybrid role based in Kent.
You will lead financial reporting and analysis, support annual planning and forecasting, manage fixed asset and lease reporting, handle tax filings and government declarations, and assist with internal audits and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Analyse monthly financial results and explain key variances Ensure accuracy in SG&A costs and communicate with relevant departments Investigate cost anomalies and prepare quarterly forecasts Support annual budget planning and assist with monthly financial close Manage Fixed Asset and lease reporting for the US parent company Handle internal and external audit submissions and maintain internal controls Oversee taxation and compliance filings Lead and support Finance and IT improvement projects Authorize bank payments, complete material costings in SAP, and work with advisors on business rates.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience Strong Excel skills: SAP experience is a plus Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
