The CNC Turner's main tasks are: Working on two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controlsExperience of CNC programming preferable on Fanuc controlsTo be able to read and understand technical drawingsTo be able to work with imperial measuring equipmentManufacturing bushes, sleeves and nuts for Aircraft components e.g.
:- Landing gears, flap and track systemsAlso reworking and overhauling components for the airline industryAn awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental proceduresYou will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) bookYou may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experienceAll duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures The ideal CNC Turner should meet the following requirements: Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalentAbility to communicate fluently in written and spoken English Aerospace background not essential but would be preferredExperience in two and three axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls Experience of CNC programmingTeam player with proven ability to manage, lead and guidanceExcellent communications skills and able to work within a matrix environmentGood organisational skills with strong planningAble to turn vision into strategy and executeEngage others and develop their potential with confident decision-making skillsMonday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday (depending business needs)5 hours per weekAble to work shifts (06:30 – 14:30 and 14:25 – 22:25)The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekendsThe job requires the applicant to understand manual handlingThe ability to keep your working area clean and tidy and to a 5s standardCandidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted
