Job Title: CNC Turner Job Purpose: Join a well-established, market-leading business in Hull, renowned for its strong heritage and extensive order book.

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to perform precision turning operations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities: Setup and Programming: Interpret engineering drawings, determine the necessary fixtures, tools, and attachments, and mount them to the CNC lathe.
Write or modify CNC programs as required.
Turning Operations: Adjust machine settings, such as speed, tooling, and cutting parameters, to ensure precision in turning operations.
Monitor the process and address any issues immediately.
Quality Control: Inspect finished components for accuracy and consistency, ensuring all products meet company quality standards.
Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacements, on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Health & Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, report potential hazards, and ensure the correct PPE is always worn.
Skills and Experience: Ideally, a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or CNC-specific apprenticeship.
Experience in operating CNC turning machines is essential.
Proficiency with tools and maintaining machinery.
Familiarity with CNC programming and interpreting technical software.
Flexibility to work rotating early and late shifts, depending on business needs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to precision and upholding high-quality standards.
Salary and Benefits: Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating morning and afternoon shifts.
Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum, including shift allowance.
Pension: 5% company contribution, minimum 3% employee contribution.
Holidays: 25 days holiday plus statutory days.
Bonus: Based on attendance and performance.
