Role for a CNC Setter/Operator/ Programmer Overview: In this critical role as a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer, you will ensure the smooth production of high-quality components.
You will multitask by setting up and operating multiple machines while maintaining precise tooling and inspection records.
Primary Machines: HAAS Lathe Y-Axis with Live Tooling (DS30Y & ST40) Secondary Machines (Support Role): HAAS Mills (EC400, VF4SS & UMC1000SS) Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm Friday: 8am - 1pm Total: 39 hours per week Key Responsibilities for a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer: Set, program, and operate HAAS machines.
Work to tight tolerances and manufacture according to customer drawings.
Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) completion of work orders.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to 5S and COSHH standards.
Perform preventative maintenance checks on all tools and equipment.
Update and implement job setup sheets.
Collaborate with the production manager and quality team to resolve production and machine issues.
Candidate for CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer Requirements: Enthusiastic with a positive, can-do attitude.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing machine shop.
Effective communication skills.
Commitment to lean manufacturing techniques.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
CAM experience.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
