Day-to-day of the role As a CNC Setter, you will be machining a range of sealing products in plastic and rubber materials to the required quality standards, while meeting appropriate deadlines.
Setting and operating 3-axis CNC machinery.
Creating, loading, and modifying CNC programs.
Carrying out inspection of one's own work and final inspection on others.
Ensuring all parts are manufactured to drawing and specified tolerances.
Managing work scheduling, stock, and calibration.
Performing other general workshop duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Setter, particularly in environments that require a mix of small and large batch production.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Jetcam NUM controls.
Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and work instructions.
Competence in using measuring equipment such as vernier calipers, height gauges, and micrometers.
Computer literacy.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
