Description Your responsibilities We are currently looking for a CNC Operative to join us here at thyssenkrupp Materials UK!
As a CNC Operator, you will be picking material from the racks or picking up materials from a machine for customer orders and operating and programming our CNC machines.
You may also be required to load or unload vehicles and scan away to a rack location whilst adhering to quality and safety procedures.
Shift Patterns: 7:30- 4:00 Monday- Thursday 7:30-1:30 Friday Please note: From January we are moving to a 6am-2pm shift one week and then the following week it will be 1:30pm-10pm Monday-Thursday and 1:30-8pm on Friday Key Responsibilities Your main duties will include: Working from drawings you will be required to accurately set various machines and produce parts to order.
You will need to record all information on job sheets.
Assisting with production / assembly work during busy periods  Promote continuous improvement processes to maximise efficiency and minimise waste in all operational processes  Ensure that stock being processed is in adherence with thyssenkrupp quality and working procedures and practices  Ensure we have warehouse traceability  Handle all products in the most appropriate manner to eliminate any damage or health hazards, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and the thyssenkrupp Materials Handling and Storage Procedures  Maintain full conformance in line with all identified order requirements  Ensure all stock and customer parts are clearly identified in accordance with both thyssenkrupp and Customer requirements at all times  Package products ready for assembly / dispatch  Conform to Health and Safety operating regulations for self, other employees and visitors whilst engaged on company business  Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Your profile CNC saw or machine operating experience in the metals industry Able to read drawings and record accurate details Flexibility to help with other tasks  Forklift trained  Benefits Your benefits with us Annual Leave: 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays + your birthday Company bonus scheme  Advantageous pension scheme Learning & Development opportunities Advanced Family Friendly Policies Employee high street vouchers & discounts Employee Assistance Programme Occupational health & health surveillance Length of Service Awards Christmas savings scheme Eye care vouchers Cycle to Work Scheme Wellbeing events Recognition Portal Rewards Portal Company events Company share schemes Christmas Closedown This is us – your new employer thyssenkrupp Materials UK operates a network of 9 sites with just under 500 employees in England and Northern Ireland which are; Preston, Darton, Birmingham, Central Warehouse, Head Office & Fabrications (Cradley Heath, Birmingham), Milton Keynes, Swindon, and 2 in Belfast.
