JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Manchester , looking to recruit a new CNC Machinist to join their team.
This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators.

This is a Permanent Position based in Manchester .
Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00 and Friday, 07:00 - 13:00.

Other Duties Involve Maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment Plan machining by studying work orders, engineering drawings, materials, specifications and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances Setting up both manual and CNC milling machines/lathes by installing and adjusting three-and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets chucks, special purpose work holding and machine vices Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and risk assessments Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, liaising with contractors for general repairs and build a record of the service history for each machine tool Documenting measurement data by completing measurement inspection reports with the aid of the metrology department In order to be successful in this role the CNC Machinist will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes Industry work experience in CAD/CAM and advanced CNC machining industries Educated to minimum NVQ Level 3 Advanced Engineering In depth user of G & M codes and NC programming In depth knowledge of conventional and CNC machining technical knowledge and troubleshooting techniques for core discipline Fluent and experienced with CAD/CAM programming, interpreting CNC software Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens and Hurco CNC control systems Right to work in the UK If you think this is the role for you and you have the necessary skills and attributes, please apply today or contact JMC Aviation for more details.
