Barker Ross are looking for CNC Operators to work for our client in Falkirk.
CNC operators are required to operate roll forming machines, all manufactured by Howick.
The operator must posses a blend of technical/ mechanical knowledge, attention to detail and practical experience.
Pay: £15 per hour Hours: Mon-Thu 7:30-16:30 Fri- 7:30-14:00 1hour break, x2 -15 min (paid) and 30min (unpaid) Duties: Working in roll forming ( manufacturing) area with a team of 3-5 including a working chargehand).
Assist forklift operation in the loading of steel coils (upto 5t) onto the decoiler Operate the roll forming machine Daily, Weekly maintenance checks of the machine Adjustments of the machine during manufacturing process, fitting and replacing tools as required Read and interpret technical plans of the machine.
Lift/ move products individually, or with colleagues or machine assisted General housekeeping of the roll forming area.
Inspect formed components to ensure they meet preset quality standards Requirements: Previous experience as a CNC operator is necessary Must have a basic mechanical knowledge, experience of working in this area would be beneficial.
Able to develop a strong working knowledge of the machines' capabilities Basic excel knowledge - how to read and make changes to a spreadsheet on the machines monitor.
Attention to detail to spot and issues with manufactured components at the earlies opportunity.
Ability to work as part of a busy team.
Self-motivated, conscientious and enthusiastic.
Good timekeeping and attendance.
Keen, flexible, adaptable with a positive attitude.
Physically fit, no underlying musculoskeletal issues Other: Manual handling training provided Method Statements and Risk assessments explained and reviewed with operative before commencement.
Uniform provided, after probation period PPE and all handtools provided Drugs and Alcohol testing are regularly undertaken all operatives must agree to taking part in testing.
