ROLE SUMMARYWe are currently looking for a passionate and innovative Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our IT Operations team, based in Dunfermline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Delivering creative and innovate Azure technical solutions to support Optos' needs.
Implementing Azure cloud-based solutions, migrating workloads to the cloud and connecting and managing hybrid cloud environments.
You will be helping Optos at all stages in their journey of adopting cloud technologies within our business.
Support and administer the cloud systems used at Optos, along with managing services, storage, and network inclusive of that architecture.
Monitor cloud services performance (availability, utilisation, throughput, and latency).
Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
Work with Cloud Solutions Architect to formulate strategic and tactical planning around Optos' cloud systems.
Maintain and develop cloud documentation and reports.
Provide 3rd line user support, including problem solving and resolution of issues to allow effective use of cloud systems.
Management and implementation of cloud projects/ enhancements using best practices.
Work closely with IT security to monitor Optos' cloud privacy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Diploma or degree (or equivalent) in IT or related subject or equivalent education gained through work experiences.
Good understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
Experience of working with Azure and the Microsoft cloud stack with a keen desire to build a much wider range of skills.
Proven track record in cloud infrastructure engineering and support including public and hybrid cloud, software defined networking, identity and access management, security, and storage.
Understanding of cloud governance technologies for cost management and control.
Previous experience working in an engineering role, preferably from an IT infrastructural background.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
An appreciation for DevOps methods (communication, collaboration, integration & automation).
Experience of migrating on-premises services to the Cloud, specifically Azure.
Have basic scripting skills to drive process automation, Infrastructure-as-Code implementation, and security.
