Join us as a Cloud App Engineer This is an opportunity for a driven individual to take on an exciting new career challenge You'll be able to build and maintain a wide network of stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority It's a chance to have a tangible effect on our function, put your existing skills to the test and advance your career T his role will also be required to be provide on call cover on a rotational basis 24/7, supporting any bankwide events and releases What you'll do You'll be working with platform and feature teams to develop, build and configure DevOps tools, technologies, techniques, patterns, and processes, and create trusted pipelines of work from development through to production environments utilising high degrees of automation.
You'll also: Contribute to building the DevOps engineering capability, culture and mind-sets within the organisation Help expand and integrate our observability platforms by configuring alerts and monitoring  Coach and mentor feature and platform teams to higher levels of DevOps capability, to drive continuous improvements and enhancing the end customer experience Support the set up of DevOps methodologies and tools within platform and feature teams and demonstrate technical implementation Supporting the build out of CI/CD pipelines to catch problems before they ship Support the development and establishment of appropriate DevOps The skills you'll need You'll need knowledge of the core principles and benefits of DevOps, and knowledge and experience of software engineering and or IT Operations.
You'll also need: Experience of common DevOps tools such as CI tools, source code management, deployment, configuration tooling and CD pipelines Experience of using AWS Environments and SRE or DevOps G ood understanding of G itOps concepts  Managing systems in production as well as e xperience of scripting       Experience of working within a governed or regulated change framework Knowledge and experience of agile ways of working S killed in monitoring of infrastructure apps or service meshes and under the monitoring of applications or events


Nominal Salary: To be agreed
