Job summary We are currently seeking applications for a Clinical Teaching Fellow (ST3-7 Obs & Gynae) to start October 2025.
The post will provide an exciting opportunity to receive training in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, and to undertake a fully funded Certificate in Clinical Education at the University of Plymouth.
Main duties of the job Duties of the post will include the care of inpatients and outpatients alongside teaching medical students and the MDT.
The role will also include labour ward and gynaecology sessions to maintain your own training standard.
The 'out of hours' commitment will involve long days, weekends and night duty with compensatory scheduled time off duty.

Job description Job responsibilities The appointment is for a clinical teaching fellow at ST3-7 level to facilitate delivery of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology components of the 3rd and 4th year medical school programme.
The successful candidate will receive training in undergraduate medical education, and will be able to undertake a fully funded Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Plymouth.
A maximum of five sessions each week are allocated for undergraduate medical education.
The appointee will spend the remaining time on personal education and furthering their clinical experience at the ST3+ level and will take part in the on-call rota.
Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists would be an advantage and Part 1 MRCOG is essential.
The post is for 1 year and available from 1st October 2025.
This post is jointly funded by UHP and PUPSMD and will require the successful candidate to be granted an Out of Programme Experience (OOPE).
