Job summary There is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Clinical Support Assistant with the Psychiatric Liaison Team based Cumberland Infirmary.
You're role will be to work along side the delirium team providing screening for patients within the acute trust.
You will then support staff, families and patients in their recovery helping them to work through the effects of delirium.
You will be able to provide support to families when it can be distressing to see their loved one confused and to help them understand the temporary nature of this are a seven day a week service and the delirium team covers the wards Main duties of the job This role would require the successful applicant to be highly motivated and have excellent active listening skills, have experience in caring and have some basic knowledge of delirium and will provide you with training in how to screen for delirium and regular supervision.

Person Specification Education and Qualification Essential Senior Healthcare Support Worker or equivalent or working towards Desirable Experence of working with client group.
GCSE in maths and English Knowledge and Experience Essential Experience of working/ volunteering in an appropriate care setting Desirable Knowledge of delirium dementia Skills and Competencies Essential Good verbal and written skills Ability to work with out direct supervision Ability to use IT equipment Ability to develop the skills of others and to contribute to learning.
