Job summary Closing Date: (this may change dependent on response) Shortlisting to take place in the week following closing date: commencing Interview expected to take place in the week following shortlisting: commencing Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT) invested in the development of a Command Centre, designed to radically improve the management of information within the Trust and to facilitate real time management of patient flow.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Command Centre team in the role of substantive fill time clinical site matron.
The Command Centre at BTHFT is responsible for the operational management of patient flow within the Trust with the team being led by Clinical Site Matrons who take 24-hour responsibility for patient flow, out of hours providing on-site Senior Clinical Leadership and operational support to the Trust.
The Clinical Site Matrons, as part of the Command Centre team, are responsible for driving forward transformation and excellence in patient flow to ensure the best possible experience for both patients and for staff.
You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop and manage relationships with staff at all levels.
You must also be able to work under pressure and have the ability to work flexibly over a 24-hour period.
Main duties of the job If you are a Registered Nurse with evidence of working towards a Masters level qualification or are able to demonstrate equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years post registration experience; if you demonstrate and role model values-based transformational leadership; if you have current operational experience of managing both patient flow and managing teams of staff; if you have a proven track record of delivering successful service improvements and if you have a portfolio of evidence demonstrating significant achievements in senior clinical nursing roles within the Acute Hospital setting, then you are encouraged to apply for this exciting opportunity to experience working in operational site management and patient flow at a senior level.

Job description Job responsibilities For informal enquiries and further information please contact Sarah Buckley, Clinical Lead patient Flow; 07903 703577 Person Specification Experience Essential Substantial management / leadership experience at senior nurse level in relevant clinical speciality Current experience of working within an Acute Hospital setting Current experience of managing Patient Flow Able to demonstrate an understanding of Health Policy and its impact on the Professional Nursing Agenda and BTHFT Recent experience of delivering service improvements with demonstrable positive impact on patient safety, patient experience and quality of care Evidence of a track record of developing nursing, or research experience and audit application Evidence of recently leading and developing a team Experience of: - budget management - human resource management - quality assurance - change management - complaints handling - policy implementation - participation in Trust-wide initiatives/ committee membership Skills Essential oKnowledge of quality, standard setting and audit.

Health Service related Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience.
Evidence of working towards a Masters level qualification or demonstration of equivalent experience Recognised Leadership Qualification or equivalent experience Evidence of commitment to continuous learning and application in practice
