Clinical Procurement Manager - Support Office CVS Group plc is an AIM listed, international integrated veterinary services provider which delivers to clients through four business areas; our veterinary practices, diagnostic laboratories, pet crematoria and e-commerce division.

In a growing pet market, we are well positioned for both organic and acquisitive growth, and significant investment projects are in progress to enhance our infrastructure and central support for the Group.
This role is based at our Head Office in Diss, where you will work a minimum of 2 days a week on site and have the option to work from home the rest of the week.
Summary of role:The Clinical Procurement Manager will assist with implementation and maintenance of effective supply chain management of large animal, equine and small animal products for all CVS sites UK.
They will have direct responsibility for achieving year on year external expenditure cost savings and service level improvements with selected suppliers with guidance from Clinical Advisory Committees, and they will line manage and motivate the purchasing data co-ordinator and Purchasing Administrator Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Purchasing & Supply Chain: Manage the procurement of essential medicines, ensuring reliable supply and cost efficiencies.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to address supply challenges and optimise stock management.Leadership: Oversee and develop the Purchasing team, providing coaching, support, and succession planning to maximise their potential.
Foster a high-performance and customer-focused culture.Strategy Development: Drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer experience, analyse competitor activity, and identify growth opportunities.
Develop and communicate business area strategies to ensure alignment with company goals.Operations: Ensure consistent delivery of standards across all responsibilities, monitor performance through KPIs, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal teams, and Clinical Advisory Committees to optimise supply chains, negotiate pricing, and identify new business opportunities.Team Collaboration: Ensure clear and timely communication, providing resources and support to deliver business initiatives effectively.
Promote teamwork and alignment across divisions.Marketing & Growth: Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to grow product brands, monitor trends, and exploit new market opportunities for profitable growth.Leadership Excellence: Provide inspirational leadership, setting clear direction, driving teamwork, and embedding a culture of high performance, accountability, and recognition.
Skills Required: Procurement Qualifications desirableExperienced within a procurement/planning roleAbility to multi- task, prioritise and manage time effectively and efficientlyResults driven whilst not losing sight of the business needsPeople person with excellent listening and interpersonal/communication skillsAccuracy and attention to detailAble to work under pressure and at the same time prioritise workloadsProblem analysis and problem-solvingProficient with Microsoft packages, especially Excel Alongside a salary of £45, - £50, DOE, we are offering benefits including; 6.6 weeks holiday, buy/sell holiday scheme, 1 day extra holiday per year up to 5 years, pension scheme - matched up to 6%, health cash plans, enhanced, maternity/paternity/adoption leave, generous staff discount on pet care and products.
