Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist – Band 7/8a Location: NHS Hospital, Bournemouth Job Reference: AR/20/11/24/2 Position Type: Full-time (5 days per week) Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute break) Duration: Minimum 3 months, starting January 2025 Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our clients pharmacy team at an NHS Hospital in Bournemouth.
This is a rotational position, covering COTE (Care of the elderly) and medical wards.
The successful candidate will be working across different areas within the hospital, providing expert clinical pharmacy services to improve patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical pharmacy services to the hospital wards, including COTE and Medical.
Ensure safe and effective use of medications by conducting ward rounds and providing medication advice to medical staff and patients.
Monitor and review medication therapies, ensuring compliance with the NHS Trust's guidelines.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans.
Offer advice on the safe and effective use of medications, including any potential side effects or interactions.
Actively contribute to hospital-wide initiatives and audits to improve service delivery.
Essential Qualifications & Experience: Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is essential.
Experience in COTE/Medical wards or a similar clinical environment is required.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
Salary: £27 - £37 per hour (dependent on experience and Banding level).
