Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 fixed term / secondment post hours a week for a year We require an experienced, enthusiastic RN Child or RSCN working at UH Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust with a clear interest in research.
This would give you the opportunity to expand your knowledge of Clinical Research by joining our Paediatric and Neonatal Clinical Research Nursing team at The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton (RACH) Please note that this role is asecondment opportunity or fixed term contract.
Before applying you must seek agreement andauthorisationfrom your current line manager.Secondmentscan't be agreed without your current manager's approval.
If you are unable to gain your managers approval you should refrain from applying unless you wish to take this role as a fixed term position Main duties of the job You will coordinate a variety of Clinical Paediatric and Neonatal Research studies, including national & local academic studies as well as multi centre commercially sponsored trials, adhering to the principles of Good Clinical Practice in research.This role will involve recruitment & follow up of patients within trials and you will be responsible for following study protocols & ensuring the safety of these patients along with the collation & documentation of study data.Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, education and support of children & families for our clinical trials is also requiredWe will work together as a team to embed research into the clinical areas in line with our research strategy.
