Clinical Nurse Specialist Haemaglobinopathies Job overview We are looking for a motivated nurse with post-registration experience in the Haematology setting to join our small but busy team in Haemoglobinopathies.
Are you keen to learn and become an expert haemoglobinopathy nurse supporting patients with their long-term condition? This job could be for you. In order to support the growing demand for our haemoglobinopathy service and support expansion within our clinical nurse specialist team, we currently have a new Band 6 role available.
This CNS role is a key worker role, and the successful individual would ideally be a registered nurse with experience within the haematology specialty.
We are seeking motivated, proactive nurses with a vision and maturity to support this client group at their most vulnerable, helping them live their best possible life with their condition. With the appropriate training and guidance, you will be expected to work alongside experienced clinicians, making multi-professional decisions and undertaking independent nurse-led clinics.
You must be an RN with current NMC registration. The Health Assessment Module would be advantageous or a willingness to undertake the module within 24 months of being in post.
Main duties of the job The haemoglobinopathy CNS role is a key worker role. You will work with the existing multi-professional team to offer support, care, and treatment to those patients diagnosed with sickle cell, thalassaemia, and other rare haemoglobinopathy conditions.
