The role: As Clinical Lead Orthotist, you will be responsible for the clinical delivery of orthotic services to the highest clinical and ethical standards.
You will provide training and supervision to students, less experienced colleagues, and customers in all aspects of the service.
This role is offered on a part time basis, three full days per week, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities: Leading clinically with complex cases Training, mentoring, and supervising less experienced colleagues.
Providing guidance to the clinical team on the most appropriate clinical intervention.
Leading the orthotic team in outcome measurement including use of gait analysis equipment.
Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, supplying, reviewing, and adjusting orthoses as required.
Assisting with presentations, seminars, training, and education at all levels.
Working within the framework provided by the company to ensure cost effective product provision.
Taking part in clinical audit and clinical research, liaising with both clinical and technical employees.
What are we looking for?
Essential skills and experience Qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics HCPC registration Member of BAPO/ISPO (desirable) Experience in a wide range of orthotic provision including paediatrics, orthopaedics, and footwear Able to prioritise and manage your own workload and that of others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with colleagues at all levels Be able to manage difficult, challenging and sensitive situations Good judgment and decision-making skills
