Main duties of the job Adult Services: Clinical Lead Gastroenterology & Nutrition Support Dietitian Band 7 Department: Community Rehabilitation Services; DieteticsLocation: South KirkleesSalary: AFC: Band 7 - Permanent ContractHours: Up to WTE 30 hours.
Flexible working, Part time (minimum hours) considered.We are looking for someone who can work as a highly specialist, autonomous dietitian with experience in managing gastroenterological diet issues and nutrition support in the community.
You should have strong organisational, communication and leadership skills and embrace the challenge of service development.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care for patients referred to our service and will work offering assessments in a variety of locations including virtual appointments.
You will be responsible for: Your own caseload of patients who require specialist gastro advice or oral nutrition support in the community offering holistic person-centred careJoint working with Speech and Language therapist and other AHP's, Social care and Nursing colleagues.Offering a hybrid approach including telephone/video, outpatient clinics and home visits as needed.Supporting student placements (A, B and C placements)Planning and delivering training (internal and external)Triage of new diet referralsSupervision of colleaguesService innovation and development based on latest Evidence based information.Involvement in clinical trials and audit.
