Job summary We are excited to share the opportunity to take on the Clinical Lead role for our new pathway for Complex Trauma and our Inreach Service for CYP in BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW).
Both the Inreach Team and Specialist Trauma Clinicians in the new Trauma Pathway will work with CYP who have experienced complex trauma to allow for timely access to high quality consultation, assessment and treatment.
Our Trauma Pathway is a newly funded initiative, by our ICB, with the aim of this this service to be grounded in a strengths-based, trauma informed approach.
You will lead the team whose aim will be to embed positive partnerships with key adults and networks to improve the outcomes for young people who have experienced significant trauma, working closely with our Head of Psychological Therapies and the wider BSW management team.
The Inreach Team is a well-established service made up of experienced Clinical Specialists who interface with social care in a variety of specialist areas; including Foster Care, Early Help, Youth Justice Service, Drug and Alcohol, Children who are Looked After and MASH.
This post could be based in any of our 3 larger CAMHS teams in Swindon, Melksham or Keynsham.
We are looking for a very experienced Clinical Psychologist, Family and Systemic Therapist or Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to lead our new Trauma Pathway and Inreach Service.
Main duties of the job You will oversee clinicians embedded in CAMHS providing specialist assessments of CYP with complex trauma and moderate to severe mental health needs, ensuring they employ research-based models to formulate and implement plans with individuals, families and carers.
You will clinically lead the development of this new pathway utilising change methodology and working in partnership with a range of stakeholders to ensure the service is fit for purpose.
Alongside the leadership, there will be an element of clinical work offering consultation and treatment to CYP in the trauma pathway.
As Clinical Lead for Inreach you will lead the Clinical direction of the service, working closely with a range of stakeholders and commissioners to ensure that we continue to provide a high quality, effective, safe and efficient service.
This role requires you to demonstrate evidence of an anti-oppressive approach at the heart of your practice and to challenge, when needed, issues that are relevant to the children, young people and families we work with, as well as within the system, or that impact on colleagues.
