Clinical Lead For Maternal Mental Health Service

Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical lead to support the development of a new maternal mental health service across Humber and North Yorkshire.This is a unique opportunity to lead and influence this crucial service which will consist of a small MDT team including a range of therapists.This service is to support women who have moderate to severe and complex mental health problems who have also experienced post-traumatic stress following perinatal loss, which includes recurrent miscarriage, termination for medical reasons, ectopic pregnancies, unsuccessful IVF treatment, still birth or neonatal death or tokophobia.
Main duties of the job Providing a qualified specialist psychological therapy service to women with moderate to severe and/or complex mental health problems relating directly from their maternity experience.
Providing specialist model-specific psychological assessment and therapy.Clinical supervision, advice and consultation to colleagues, and to other non-professional carers, on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care and treatment.
The post-holder is responsible for providing a qualified specialist psychological therapy service to women with moderate to severe and/or complex mental health problems relating directly from their maternity experience, providing specialist model-specific psychological assessment and therapy, in addition to clinical supervision, advice and consultation to colleagues on psychological aspects of assessment, formulation, care and treatment.
The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety and a commitment to promoting recovery and wellbeing and maximising independence.

Desirable Broad knowledge of Trust policies and procedures in order to effectively lead and manage others Qualifiactions and Knowledge Essential Registered under the NMC or HCPC Educated to Post Graduate Level or Degree plus significant advanced knowledge acquired through experience of relevant health interventions and additional specialist training.
Post graduate qualification in CBT and accredited through BABCP Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, mental health act, mental capacity Act Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area Desirable Teaching Qualification Advanced clinical qualification in CBT,DBT etc / Medication Management / Advanced Practice Member of organisational group/network, locally/regionally/nationally Post-graduate/Masters level certificate Be on the live register of mentors if required for the service area Experience Essential Evidence of leadership and organisational development issues that have had a positive impact on service delivery Experience of successful clinical policy implementation and change Evidence of sound post-registration professional practice in community mental health setting Evidence of professional development work that has impacted on practice and demonstrates a higher level of communication/planning/change, that impacts beyond own area of work Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the service area Proven leadership experience at an advanced level which has had a positive impact/created change within service delivery/practice Desirable A breadth of clinical practice including clinically specialising in the field where the post is held
