Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a ClinicalLead to join our Nursing and Care Team.
This role will require the successfulcandidate to provide high quality front-line clinical leadership, education,and expertise within a House leadership team (House Manager, Deputy HouseManager / Deputy Clinical Lead and Clinical Lead per house) responsible for onehouse within a twelve-month rotational model.Staff benefits include Londonweighting, shuttle bus, and more Read more below Main duties of the job Being a member of the senior sitemanagement team, ensuring that there is senior clinicalsupport and leadership on site at all times.
It also includes the practiceeducator role and that of the clinical nurse specialist in a designatedspecialty of clinical care.
This will include activities such as planning anddelivering house based training programmes, ensuring best practice andevidence-based care, chairing key meetings and working clinically across allareas of the organisation.With experience ofworking in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, youwill be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail.
Youwill naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability toconsult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.Interview Date: To be confirmed.

Leadon a range of identified teaching and assessing projects, including planning,developing, delivering, assessing, and evaluating them.

Maintaina high profile within the related clinical area and Directorate, providing alllevels of nursing and care staff with clinical education, support, and advicein patient care delivery.Workclosely with House Managers to assist in delivering the House goals andobjectives.
Fulfil a clinical leadership role that supports, guides, anddevelops clinical staff in practice.Leadthe development and maintenance of an environment that values education as partof the practice areas philosophy.
Provideclinical supervision and coaching, both within and external to the team, tosupport the development of other individuals practice.Adhereto the policies and procedures of The Childrens Trust.Alwaysmaintain professional boundaries and professional conduct.Clinical Lead Leadone or more specialist areas of practice as part of the wider clinical leadteam.
These areas may include respiratory care, resuscitation, intravenoustherapy, tissue viability, pain management, nutritional and feeding care,infection prevention and control, students and apprenticeships, and epilepsy.Ensure consistent upskilling of other clinical leads in relation to specialistarea of practice.Leadon their allocated specialist area to ensure best practice across site.
Thiswill include leading regular special interest groups, creating and updatingpolicies and planning and delivering training across site.Supportthe management of individual children by assessing and advising on careplanning and contributing to direct care as appropriate.Contributeto the assessments of children referred to The Childrens Trust and completionof referral screening reports.
Collaboratewith other members of the MDT to ensure practice is evidence-based and sharedacross all relevant teams.Establishlinks with other specialists in the field to share good practice.Audit/QualityImprovement Incorporateevidence-based practice and current, relevant research into the teaching andassessing, directly related to the topic of the identified educationprogrammes.Collaboratewith others and influence the development of new policies and protocols for themanagement/treatment of children/young people with complex health needs.Lead,implement, and manage change in clinical care delivery in response toeducational needs, national or local priorities/initiatives.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Childrens Nurse with current revalidation status.
Educated to 1st degree level.
NMC mentor or Practice Assessor.
Safeguarding Level 3.
PILS or APLS.
Further education or teaching qualifications, or currently working towards them (or significant relevant experience).
Ability to demonstrate experience in providing training and development in a clinical environment.
Experience Essential Experience of working with children with disability or complex health needs.
Experience of operational management and/or leadership roles at band 6 or above in a relevant setting.
Experience of supervising/assessing students or colleagues.
Experience responding to complaints and/or safeguarding concerns.
Experience assessing and managing deteriorating children.
