# Applications are invited for the full-time post of Senior Clinical Fellow in Colorectal Surgery, within the Division of Surgery, at University Hospitals Bristol.

This full-time post is aimed at peri- / post-CCT colorectal surgery trainees (or overseas equivalent).
Applicants should have considerable experience in colorectal surgery at a registrar level and it would suit a candidate wishing to develop a special interest within those offered by the department.
It is for a minimum period of 6 months extendable to a maximum of 12 months.
The post is available for UK surgical trainees wishing to undertake Out Of Programme Experience (OOPE).
Main duties of the job This post will provide specialist colorectal surgery training to prepare the post holder for taking up independent practice as a future consultant colorectal surgeon.
The unit provides a complete and comprehensive service for patients with colorectal disease and is able to provide dedicated training in pelvic floor disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery, colorectal oncology (early rectal cancer, salvage colorectal cancer, anal cancer), abdominal wall reconstruction, and advanced colonoscopy.
The unit has a strong research and teaching ethos with the post holder expected to undertake projects within these areas that will lead to publication and presentation at international meetings.
