Job Title: Clinical Educational Psychologist & Lead Clinician

Location: Heath Farm, Ashford, Kent

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (FTE, dependent on experience)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 8.30am-4.30pm

Contract: Permanent, 41 weeks** (There may be scope for this role to be a
full-time contract (52 weeks) if this is your preference, please get in touch
to discuss)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at
Heath Farm School based in Kent.
The post holder will work collaboratively
with both the school's Senior Leadership team (SLT) and the Locality Clinical
Lead.
The role will involve clinically leading the team whilst also
maintaining some level of clinical caseload in line with the needs of the
school and cohort of students.
The post holder will be responsible for
coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team.
Working collaboratively with school SLT, OFG guidance and all clinicians on
site, you will identify and target emerging themes and priorities for the
educational and life outcomes of the students.
You will be responsible for
enhancing the embedding of clinical excellence within the education team at
Heath Farm in line with each individual student's EHCP targets.

You will be responsible for supporting all clinical disciplines in how EHCP
relevant clinical targets are identified, delivered and monitored.
This will
involve close collaborative work with the SENCO and other members of SLT.
You
will be responsible for ensuring clear outcome measures are put in place which
will provide a secure evidence base relating to EHCP targets.
This will be
informed by current research, evidence informed practice and systemic issues
arising as well as the needs of the students who present with complex profiles
of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence,
developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

You will contribute to and support delivery of staff training and provide
clinical consultation.
There will also be an expectation to do some work and
consultation across other OFG sites in the locality, developing a support
network of colleagues in the locality to enhance and develop practice and
ensure consistency and collaboration.

Working within overall framework of the service policies and procedures, you
will be supporting the integration of the specific service in the day to day
running of each provision i.e.
managing caseloads, ensuring clinical practice
is addressing systemic need and enhancing educational and life outcomes of our
students.
A key aspect of the role will be to support discipline specific
teams to identify the range of projects, whole school, class work, assessments
and interventions required whilst also supporting our wider teams in meeting
needs in line with Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP) targets.

Essential Criteria:

* Doctoral level degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, Educational)
* Registered with the HCPC and own professional body.
* Experience within the specialist client group; working with autistic individuals and those with complex needs
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
* Experience of providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently
* Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty preferred
