Your new role: Reporting to the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (Deputy CMO), you will be part of a team of senior leaders to ensure Doctor Care Anywhere is providing safe, high-quality patient care. The Clinical Director of ACP is a member of the Clinical Management team who will predominately provide management and oversight of Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) Leads, ensuring that they are working in compliance with DCA's clinical governance frameworks, the standards expected by the organisation and remain regulatory compliant.
The postholder will ensure the effective operational management of the Panel ACPs, enabling delivery of outstanding services in accordance with agreed objectives and measurable outcomes of success as set out by the organisation. In addition to their management work, the postholder will work a minimum of 4 hours on the DCA platform every 3 months to maintain an awareness of the product and service, alongside maintaining their own professional registration.
The post holder will potentially also take on the role of Named Safeguarding Nurse. They will be part of the safeguarding leadership team who collaboratively are responsible for DCA meeting the CQC Safeguarding standards as outlined in the RCN intercollegiate document and CQC regulations.

Team Management and Operational Delivery Lead and manage a team of Lead ACPs ensuring high performance and quality assurance.Facilitate standardisation of ACP Skills and Competency across the organisation.Maintain the Doctor Care Anywhere's Skills and Competency Framework for ACPs through quality assurance as per the organisation's policy.Responsible for the quality assurance of the Panel ACPs.Provide assurance to the Deputy CMO through detailed quarterly reports on the performance of ACPs as per the DCA Clinician QA policy.Interview for new lead ACP roles and make appropriate selection decisions in-line with the Resourcing Policy.Accountable for the quality of the New ACPs, ensuring the onboarding and probationary period reach the organisations set standards.Annual review of onboarding content continuously evaluate and review onboarding processes for ACPs.Work clinically for a proportion of their time – 4 hours every 3 months.Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues.Ensure they maintain their registration to ensure they remain qualified to work clinically as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner according to the Doctor Care Anywhere definition.Maintain own continuing professional development and knowledge of relative clinical guidelines and standards.Where required support the operational management of other clinicians within the Clinical Management team.Governance Work with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure CQC requirements are met across DCA's clinical services.Provide senior clinical guidance to the lead ACPs to ensure full investigation of clinical incidents with identification of improvements and tracking to completion of all actions.Provide senior clinical expertise into the clinical investigation of serious incidents.Accountable for managing complex clinical performance issues with the ACP team, including escalation to regulatory bodies as required.Responsible for the development of policy and procedure relating to all clinicians across the organisation.Contribute to the development and implementation of new clinical policies and protocols.Identify clinical risk areas in the development of new services and work with the relevant teams to develop processes to mitigate that risk.Provide senior clinical expertise into quality improvement projects.Safeguarding (Potentially) The responsibility for Named Safeguarding Nurse.Ensure Safeguarding CQC requirements are maintained across the business as outlined in the RCN intercollegiate document.Lead, including line management of, the DCA Safeguarding function, ensuring a high quality service is provided.Leadership Undertake other such duties commensurate with the seniority and experience of the post.
