Job summary Colchester Medical Practice, an established, successful practice and primary care network, is looking to appoint a part-time permanent clinical coder and QOF administrator.
The successful applicant will join our experienced and expanding coding/QOF team based at Castle Gardens Medical Centre in Colchester (we cannot offer home working).
We require you to work 25 hours a week, working Monday to Friday, but your hours are flexible.
( start time is flexible, so this may suit someone looking for school hours).
Main duties of the job Coding clinical documents accurately within a 48 hour timescale.
Forwarding clinical documents to clinicians following the practice protocol.
Carrying out clinical document follow-up actions following the practice protocol.
Quality outcomes framework (QOF) - you will be responsible for allocated QOF clinical indicators to achieve targets for the practice.

Person Specification Key skills: Essential A strong attention to detail, ability to work to a high standard and at a fast pace.
Ability to manage own workload, but will have the support of the coding/QOF team and line manager.
A team player, flexible and able to cover when coders on annual leave or sick.
Experience Essential We are looking for candidates who have experience in clinical coding/QOF/EMIS web clinical system for this specialised role, although we would welcome applications from candidates who have experience of working in the NHS or primary care in another role or coding experience in a hospital.
