Job summary We are looking for an experienced medical coder to work within our Admin team.
You will be responsible for the clinical coding of incoming correspondence, QOF and data quality.
There is a small team of administrators who currently perform this role at various levels in the Practice and the successful candidate will work within this team.
Main duties of the job You will be responsible for the coding of relevant information into patients electronic healthcare records on SystmOne clinical system, adhering to the organisation coding post holder will also support the multi-disciplinary team, providing administrative support as required, in line with the needs of the organisation.Reviewing records and accurately producing a summary of the patients medical history.Action all incoming correspondence, emails and mail in a timely manner.Answer incoming phone calls for the Admin team, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately About us We are a busy training practice in LS14.We have 9000 patients.

Experience using SystmOne Data Quality Knowledge Understanding of Snomed and Read Code hierarchy Attended Medical Terminology Training (or equivalent experience) Good standard of documentation IT skills Understanding of confidentiality Desirable Excellent communication skills Ability to work flexibly and respond to change.
Able to work under own initiative.
Ability to demonstrate initiative and think strategically and creatively to resolve problems
