Job summary We are looking for a motivated individual to come and join our team on the acute frailty unit as a band 3 clinical support worker.
Our acute frailty unit is an 18-bedded unit with 2 frailty assessment chairs for acutely unwell older adults, we see patients with a range of acute medical conditions.
The post holder will be required to provide Clinical Support Worker skills within the Acute Frailty Unit and have the ability to organise and prioritise own workload, to ensure smooth transfers of patients between wards and departments.
Main duties of the job Supporting patients with personal care Performing initial investigations such as venepuncture, cannulation and point of care testing Maintain a high standard of record keeping ensuring all entries are accurate and legible Be computer literate You will be familiar with, and work to the protocols and polices of the Trust, paying particular attention to infection control, equality and diversity and privacy and dignity.
The role requires close liaison with other disciplines and the provision of a courteous, reliable and quality service to patient's relatives and carers, healthcare professionals and all wards and departments across the Trust.
