The primary responsibility of this role is to manage property accounting and service charge accounting for your given portfolio of commercial properties.
Your daily tasks will include period-end reporting, liaising with clients, landlords, and tenants, and proactively seeking ways to enhance their accounting services.
You will be joining the team to cover the work load of a colleague who will be on maternity leave for 12 months.
The nearest stations to their offices are Oxford Street, Tottenham Court Road, and Bond Street.
This position offers a hybrid work model of three days in the office and two days working from home.
Standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities: Reconcile and establish take-on balances for new instructions.
Understand, agree upon, and fulfill client reporting requirements.
Provide regular and ad-hoc analyses using Excel.
Draft and complete year-end service charge accounts, including managing prepayments and accruals.
Conduct tenant account reconciliations and prepare lease completion statements.
Issue tenant demands for rents, service charges, and additional charges as needed.
Address queries from tenants and landlords, ensuring timely responses.
Work closely with surveying colleagues and on-site staff to enhance service delivery.
Coordinate with Credit Control and Accounts Payable teams.
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
Attend client meetings to strengthen relationships and understand their needs.
