Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person to join our busy Health Records Library and Data Quality teams.
The successful candidate will develop a broad skillset and knowledge base in order to work flexibly across both teams based on service requirements.
The Data Quality and Access to Health Records Team support the provision of an efficient and effective Data Assurance service at Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust.
This includes supporting the delivery of the 'right of access' under the Data Protection Act 2018 and providing assurance that data reported and stored by the Trust is up to date and accurate.
The Health Records Library team provides a casenote library and archive service to the acute clinical services of the Trust.
This involves retrieving and filing casenotes in numerical order, scanning casenotes and reviewing casenotes that have met their minimum retention period.
Main duties of the job The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties; to process Access to Health Records requests in line with relevant data protection legislationreproducing health records by printing from a variety of patient systems and photocopying to meet the required deadlinesto be able to communicate effectively and confidently with colleagues, members of the public, solicitors and the policeto update patient demographics on the acute patient administration system accurately and timelyMaintain an efficient and effective filing system using the numerical referenceLocate and physically retrieve casenotes from the bulk storage archive using the appropriate aids ( trollies/cages/step stools/mobile safety steps).Track casenotes using the electronic tracking system.Scan patient record documentation to a Electronic Document Management System About us Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT) cares for the population in Harrogate and the local area, as well as across North Yorkshire, Leeds and parts of the North East.
