About the role We are looking for a talented Clean Energy Construction lawyer to join our busy team.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of construction, commercial and/or projects experience within the clean energy sector, although we would also welcome applications from those with transactional experience within the sector.
This role is working directly with Bristol-based Energy Construction Partner Suriya Edwards, London-based National Head of Clean Energy, Clare King, and Leeds-based Clean Energy Partner Deborah Harvey.
In addition, the successful candidate will work with other team members in Bristol, Birmingham, Sheffield and Nottingham.
Therefore depending on your seniority you could be based out of any of our 13 offices.
You will be supported by a wider sector team of approximately 90 lawyers in other practice areas across our 13 offices including, real estate, corporate, finance, environment, planning and dispute resolution, particularly Alex Johnson and Stephen Evans (Construction), Michael Bray (Real Estate) and Emily Settle (Corporate).
We also have a dedicated PSL for the clean energy sector, Shraiya Thapa.
The successful candidate will be working on matters including: BESS Supply Agreements (including with major world-renowned BESS manufacturers) EPC contracts O&Ms & LTSAs Component Warranties Clean energy project developments, acquisitions and disposals Familiarity with technologies including BESS, solar PV, wind, hydro, energy-from waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure and/or district heating would also be an advantage.
