We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities Provide tailored academic support to students with ASD, ensuring that their individual learning needs are met.
Implement and assist in the development of ASD-centred support strategies to promote a positive learning experience for students.
Collaborate with the SEN team to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within the classroom setting.
Work closely with teaching staff and therapists to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) for students with ASD.
Create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters the social and emotional well-being of students with ASD.
Qualifications Experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Understanding of special educational needs and the ability to provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs or autism support are desirable but not essential.
Day-to-Day Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with ASD, both academically and emotionally.
Implement individualized support strategies and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students with ASD.
Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for students with SEN.
Collaborate with the SENCO and external professionals to assess and review the progress of students with ASD, contributing to the ongoing development of individual support plans.
