Class 1 Tramper Driver

Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team based in Coventry.
The role will involve operating walking floor trailers to transport plastic bales to various recycling centres and distribution centres and returning with loose materials.
This is a temp-to-perm position, offering stability and career progression after a successful 12-week period.
Key Responsibilities: * Safely operate Class 1 vehicles with walking floor trailers.
* Transport plastic bales to recycling and distribution centres.
* Load and unload loose materials for return trips.
* Carry out tramping duties (overnight stays) Monday to Friday.
* Ensure timely and professional deliveries while adhering to all transport regulations and safety standards.
* Accurately complete relevant paperwork for each job.
Requirements: * Must be over 30 years old (insurance requirement).
* Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of 2 years' driving experience.
* Previous experience with walking floor trailers is highly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations.
* Must have a valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digi Tacho Card.
* Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
* Willingness to spend nights away from home (Monday to Friday).
Benefits: * £16 per hour PAYE (increasing to £18 per hour after 12 weeks).
* £30 night-out allowance per night.
* Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term stability.
* Monday to Friday work schedule with weekends off.
