Job Description Right Now Group are working with a leading provider of specialist packing and international shipping service that specialise within the fine art, and antiques industry.
They are seeking a skilled and motivated Class 1 Driver to join their team local to slough.
\n Salary: Up to £40,000 \n Location: Local to Slough \n Shift: Monday - Friday \n Key Duties: \n \n Expertly manage and pack fine art, antiques, and high-value furniture to ensure their safety during transit.
\n Assess items to determine appropriate handling techniques, ensuring they are packed securely for transportation.
\n Wrap, load, span, and tie down items within trucks to guarantee stability and protection against damage.
\n Operate trucks for local, national, and European deliveries, ensuring all items are transported securely and on schedule.
\n Safely install and de-install fine art and furniture at client locations with precision and care.
\n Collect and deliver a wide range of items, including paintings, sculptures, and high-value furniture.
\n Maintain consistent communication with the operations team throughout the day to facilitate smooth logistics.
\n Engage directly with clients, delivering exceptional customer service and professionalism.
\n Accurately complete all necessary documentation, such as bills of lading, timesheets, detailed condition reports (including photographs), and item labelling.
\n \n \n The ideal candidate: \n \n Class 1 HGV license with a clean driving record.
\n Previous experience handling fine art, antiques, or high-value goods \n Knowledge of professional packing and transportation techniques is highly desirable.
\n Strong attention to detail and ability to handle delicate items with care.
