You will handle a specific case load for recovery of costs incurred as a result of damage caused to Northern Powergrid's assets by third parties, and handle claims for resolution, received from other utilities for network damage.
You'll communicate with third parties by telephone and in writing, so will need excellent written & spoken communication skills, as well as time management.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be accountable for: Managing a case load of damage claims ranging from £100 to £1m+ in a timely manner within the Delegations of Authority.
Establishing key customer contacts and manage down their debt Use of IT applications including Solcase, GIS, EamEam Spatial, OMS and OracleSpatial, OMS and Oracle Applying and understanding the principals of relevant legislation and guidance notes when handling damage claims.
Handling technical and legal queries and disputes Identifying problematic claims and determining the best course of action Understanding the costing of damage repairs and the associated overheads Applying strong customer service skills when handling disputes/queries Supporting the claims admin.
