I have an amazing opportunity for a DEDICATED and PASSIONATE individual to become a Children's Support Worker within a BRAND NEW children's residential service in Chudleigh Knighton, Newton Abbot.
You will be supporting young people between the ages of 8-18 years old with learning/physical disabilities, complex health needs, autism and challenging behaviours.
**Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's licence and a car** Overview: Salary: £28,080 - £30,480 Location: Chudleigh Knighton, Newton Abbot (TQ13 postcode) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Shift Pattern: 5 days a week, minimum 1 sleep per week.

To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes.
Keeping on top of household duties To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed.
Support the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the individual's care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication.
Supporting with personal care and medication Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
The successful candidate: Experience as a Children's Support Worker, or within a similar social care setting or with Young People is desirable but not essential Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People desirable but not essential Hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence, due to the nature of the role you may be required to transport the young people ESSENTIAL If this sounds like your dream role, we would love to hear from you.
