We're proud of our workforce and what has been achieved for children and families in Devon.About the RoleAs a Children's Social Work Team Manager within Children and Families, you will embed a high-performance, collaborative culture by supporting your team to continually develop their skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children, young people, and their families.
Through reflective supervision meetings with your team, you'll champion their personal and professional growth.
You will also provide oversight on all our children and young people, ensuring quality standards are maintained whilst championing restorative practice.This is a great opportunity to grow your social work career with an ambitious authority at a time of exciting change.This role will allow for some remote working but will largely be office based with a minimum expectation that you are in the office three days a week, every week.
About YouPassionate about relationship-based social work and proud of your profession.
You will be able to reflect and think creatively about how you can support your social work teams to build relationships that make a difference to the children and families of Devon.You will have a strong understanding of safeguarding with significant post-qualifying experience gained within statutory social work.You will have the following skills:a social work qualification and registered with Social Work England experience of supervising and mentoring social workers and studentsexperience of leading and managing change within teams, which is founded on engagement and co-design with families, partners and your team.a good understanding of children's legislation and processdemonstrable experience of promoting good practice that improves outcomes for children, and an understanding of offering high support and high challenge to get the best out of your team.
