The Role :As a Residential Youth Support Worker, you will: Be a trusted guide and mentor to young people, helping them navigate life's challenges.Provide hands-on care and emotional support, ensuring the physical and mental well-being of those in our care.Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to create tailored support plans.Facilitate daily activities, medication administration, and recreational outings.Build nurturing relationships to empower young people to grow and develop.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include: Establishing trust and rapport with young people who have experienced trauma.Encouraging positive behaviours and emotional resilience.Organising activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.Maintaining detailed records and collaborating with healthcare and educational professionals.Embracing a culture of continuous reflection and self-care to deliver the best outcomes.
Who We're Looking For: Compassionate individuals with a genuine drive to make a difference.Experience supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs (desirable, not essential as full training is provided)A willingness to complete (or already hold) a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
