Children's Residential Registered Manager, Surrey Pertemps are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead one of Surrey's Children's Homes , ensuring that young people receive the highest standard of care and achieve positive outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional with a proven track record in residential childcare and leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations and the Ofsted Inspection Framework.
Ensure that all practices meet statutory requirements and support high standards of care.
Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
Use creative and innovative methods to achieve positive outcomes, fostering resilience and independence.
Adopt a strength-based and individualised approach to leadership, empowering both staff and children.
Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive team culture where everyone feels welcomed and valued.
Provide effective assessment and risk management, ensuring the needs of children and young people are met proactively.
Conduct regular supervision sessions, career conversations, and feedback, supporting staff development and team performance.
Build trust and strong relationships with children, staff, and key stakeholders across care and residential services.
Essential Requirements: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification that meets Ofsted regulatory requirements.
At least 2 years of experience in children's residential care within the last 5 years.
Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills in a social care or health setting.
Strong understanding of statutory childcare services.
Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, staff, and stakeholders in challenging situations.
Adaptable and flexible mindset to navigate the dynamic and ever-changing nature of residential care.
