Requirements QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (to be obtained within 3 years of starting to manage the children's home) ORRegistered Managers Award/NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care and Management.
ORRelevant management qualification (equivalent to the Level 5 Diploma).Minimum of 2 years in a management position within residential care of children in the last 5 years.Minimum of 1 year experience of line management/staff supervision of staff in a care role Management in a relevant residential care setting.Worked within Ofsted inspection framework.
