Job Title:Registered Residential Manager - Childrens Home Location:Liverpool Salary:£55,000 per annum Working Hours:Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm (flexible hours) Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our childrens home, ensuring high-quality care, compliance, and positive outcomes as outlined in our Statement of Purpose.
This role will guide the homes services, nurturing an inspiring environment for both children and staff.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management:Oversee the homes operations, including staffing, placement planning, safeguarding, quality monitoring, and compliance.
Policy Implementation:Ensure adherence to statutory and organisational policies, providing feedback on their effectiveness.
Child-Centered Care:Foster an inclusive, supportive environment where each childs individual needs are met through tailored care and placement planning.
Community Engagement:Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders and the wider community to enhance outcomes for children.
Reporting & Evaluation:Produce timely monitoring reports and statistical data, ensuring service delivery meets organisational standards.
Safeguarding & Compliance:Uphold childrens safeguarding practices, monitor quality standards, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Specific Duties Service Delivery:Embed our ethos in daily operations and actively involve service users in decision-making.
Ensure childrens needs across health, education, and wellbeing are met.
People Management:Supervise, support, and develop the staff team, ensuring effective training, induction, and team building.
Resource & Budget Management:Manage budgets responsibly, maintain assets, and ensure health and safety compliance.
Business Development:Identify opportunities for growth, oversee contract management, and drive service development aligned with organisational goals.
Person Specification: Qualifications: Must have Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peoples Services or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it).
Commitment to continuous professional development.
Experience: Must have at least 3 years working with children in the past 5 years, including 1 year in a senior role.
Must have experience in residential settings and inter-agency work.
Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of Childrens Home Regulations and Quality Standards, safeguarding practices, and care planning.
Ability to inspire and lead teams, manage workloads, and oversee staff training and development.
Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
