You'll work alongside our Home Manager, taking the reins when they're away, and leading our incredible team to provide exceptional care.What you'll be doing: Inspire, mentor, and support staff, ensuring they're equipped to provide the best care possible.Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring a warm, structured, and secure environment.Develop personalised care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of each child.Create strong, positive connections with our young people, giving them a safe space to express themselves.Regularly review care standards, implementing improvements to enhance the experiences of our children.Support ongoing staff training to promote excellence in childcare.Plan fun activities that give our children the joyful experiences they deserve.Handle emergencies with a calm, level-headed approach, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in the home.
What You BringWe're looking for someone who's walked the walk in a similar leadership role and knows the impact positive adult relationships can have on children.
You're someone who can: Guide and support staff while staying calm under pressure.Be a role model with patience, resilience, and compassion.Think on your feet, whether it's during a challenging situation or while planning a creative new activity.
Qualifications and skills needed: Proven experience in children's residential care.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage with children and collaborate with professionals.Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the home, including occasional evening and weekend shifts.Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
