Chief Technology Officer - Motorsport - £90k to £140k I am currently hiring for a Chief Technology Officer for a Motorsport team who compete in a FIA global motorsport competition.
As the CTO, you will lead the technical operations of the team, driving innovation in vehicle performance, R&D, and operational efficiency.
Collaborating closely with senior leadership, engineers, and technical partners, you will shape and implement strategies to ensure the team remains competitive in the fast-evolving world of Motorsport.
This is a pivotal role requiring a mix of visionary leadership, technical expertise, and passion for sustainability and motorsport.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists across powertrain development, aerodynamics, and vehicle dynamics.
R&D Oversight: Drive research and development of cutting-edge EV technologies, focusing on power efficiency, battery management, and lightweight materials.
Performance Optimization: Collaborate with race engineers to analyse data and implement performance-enhancing solutions during testing, qualifying, and race events.
Technical Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, suppliers, and technology partners to integrate advanced solutions and secure competitive advantages.
Compliance: Ensure all developments comply with FIA technical regulations and standards.
Budget Management: Oversee the technical department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet performance and development goals.
What We're Looking For: Extensive experience in automotive, ideally within electric vehicle or hybrid powertrain environments.
Deep knowledge of EV systems, including powertrains, energy recovery systems, and battery technology.
Proven leadership skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
A passion for sustainability and the electrification of motorsport.
Flexibility to travel extensively and work irregular hours as required by the race calendar.
