Please be aware the advert will close at 12noon on 6th December 2024, not midnight as stated in the header.Stakeholder panel will take place on 16th December 2024Interview will take place 17th December 2024 Main duties of the job An opportunity has arisen for a values based leader to be the Trust's next Chief Strategy Officer, a post only vacant due to the previous post holder gaining a Chief Executive position.
As member of the Board, you will make a significant impact on the delivery of the Trust's strategy, ensuring alignment with national and regional healthcare goals and our commitment to equity, innovation, and high-quality outcomes.
You will also oversee system-wide commissioning for specialised mental health services developing relationships with provider collaboratives to deliver high standards of care.
The post holder will also be responsible for the performance directorate, developing metrics that support improved clinical outcomes, across our networks and corporate functions, ensuring the Board remains well-informed of performance gaps, and mitigations strategies in place to drive and support change.We are keen to hear from experienced, inspiring and values-based leaders with extensive experience gained within the NHS.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to master's degree level, or equivalent, with substantial senior management experience at Sub-Board level Evidence of recent and ongoing continuing professional and personal development Knowledge Essential Knowledge and understanding of the political context, policy environment and financial regime in which a Foundation Trust (FT) operates Specialist knowledge of the NHS and commissioning regimes Skills Essential Strategic thinker with highly developed influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills and using them to bring about change and develop services, standards, and systems Excellent collaborative working skills and ability to build strong relationships with clinical leaders and professional staff groups Experience Essential Significant experience at executive director or deputy executive director level Proven experience of planning, policy and development at sub-board level Extensive experience of delivering effective transformation programmes including through partnerships
