For more information, visit: https://www.thunes.com/ Chief Product Officer Holding a highly strategic and innovative role in our organization, the Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Thunes is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to launch and beyond.
You will lead the product strategy, roadmap development, and execution while ensuring that our solutions align with business objectives, customer needs, and market trends.
You will work cross-functionally with technology, sales, marketing, compliance, legal and other teams to drive product innovation and optimize our partner experience.
Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy: Define and implement the overall product vision and strategy to align with the companys business objectives and market demands within the payments industry.Product Development: Oversee end-to-end product development processes, from ideation to launch, ensuring products are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Product Marketing: Oversee and partner with our Head of Product Marketing to support our Product Marketing strategy and execution.Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in the payments industry to ensure we remain highly innovative.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a global high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer research.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, sales, marketing, legal, and compliance teams to ensure product feasibility, regulatory adherence, and market-fit.Roadmap Management: Develop and communicate a clear product roadmap that aligns with short-term and long-term business goals, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and partner feedback.Stakeholder Management: Present product strategies and updates to the executive team, stakeholders, and board members.
Secure buy-in for product decisions and resource allocation.Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data analytics, KPIs, and feedback to continuously improve our product portfolio.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all product offerings comply with the legal, regulatory, and security standards specific to the payments industry through collaboration with legal and compliance teams.Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven Experience: 15+ years of experience in product management and product leadership roles with at least 5 years in the payments or financial services industry / regulated companies.Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the payments industry ideally including cross border payments expertise, crucially being able to showcase your innovation.Leadership & Management: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and growing high-performing product and product marketing teams.Technical Expertise: Ability to work closely with engineering teams to translate technical concepts into product features and communicate these to non-technical stakeholders.Analytical Thinking: Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to use market and performance data to inform product decisions.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial services licenses and regulations such as PCI DSS compliance, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), and KYC (Know Your Customer) processes is a plus.Excellent Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for working with executives, customers, and cross-functional teams.Cultural fit: Ambitious, curious, and innovative – driving us forward to ensure we remain best in class and the global lead in cross border payments.Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
