Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) Full-time £45-55,000 (Temporary position) Community360 is a growing and diverse Charity serving inequality and unmet need across Essex. We need someone to be the right-hand person to our CEO. We're searching for a chief operating officer (COO) who has strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative and proactive disposition. The COO will lead our team of high-performing professionals, and be efficient, productive, and effective in Policy, Regulatory process, budgetary controls along with a 'can do' ability to juggle multiple programmes and deliver the required KPI's and outcomes focused frameworks. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within our industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role for the past 5 years. You will be a visionary leader with an ability to organise operational delivery and set strategic direction in a collaborative team environment.
Objectives of this role: Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organisational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organisational goals are met Ensure effective recruitment, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary Responsibilities: Analyse internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO Oversee operations including HR, compliance, and finance, and partner with CEO in sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders You will bring: Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues What you can expect: A base in Colchester and Tiptree but there needs to be flexibility with working location across Essex. 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) An extra day's holiday for your birthday (after passing probation) Five extra days holiday after five years' service Up to three days volunteering per year (after passing probation) Development opportunities Full training and a robust induction Staff Buddy Scheme Social and Wellbeing programme Pension Scheme 6% paid for by employer Charity Discount Card To apply, please use this link: https://hr.breathehr.com/v/chief-operation-officer-37987 For further information please contact 01206 505250 or email ******
